Centerless grinding is a machining process that uses abrasive wheels to remove material from a workpiece, it differs from other grinding operations in that no spindle or points are used to locate and secure the workpiece, this process uses gravity and the speeds of the wheels to perform the grinding process, the speed of rotation of the wheels and the distance between them determines the rate at which material is removed from the workpiece, it is mainly used in cylindrical grinding processes.
